ANAN donates book to Kwara Poly
The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has donated books worth thousands of Naira for the advancement of knowledge and skills among students and staff of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
Speaking at the presentation of the books, the Director of Technical Services, Dr. Micheal Ayeni, said the donation was in fulfillment of the association's promise made early this year when it paid a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic Management.
Ayeni further explained that the donation was to build future leaders within and across the borders of Africa. He, however, urged the Polytechnic Management to grant the students unfettered access to the books in order to meet the objectives of the donation.
Responding, the Rector, Alhaji Mas'ud Elelu expressed appreciations to the association for redeeming its promise and demonstrated willingness to partner with the Polytechnic in boosting its academic excellence. He however, appealed to the association to extend its gesture to other areas like hostel accommodation, lecture rooms, offices, training and retraining of Staff and accreditation.
Elelu therefore, called on other Professional associations to follow the positive step ANAN has chosen to trend, calling on ANAN to put their programmes on line for easy accessibility.
