Kwara Govt. urges action on on-going rural projects
The Kwara State Government has urged contractors handling various rural road projects in the state to increase the pace of work so as to ensure thier early completion.
The state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Dr. Abubakar Amuda Kannike gave the challenges on Monday while inspecting the on-going rural roads in some local government areas within the Kwara State Senatorial District.
He asked the contractors to take the advantage of the infrequent rain fall being experienced in the season to speed up the level of work, adding that they should rise up and deliver quality job on time.
The commissioner also called on the resident and civil engineers in the ministry to come up with numerous challenges encounter in the field with the view to proferring solution to them.
He warned that the state government would not tolerate any shoddy job, stressing the the need for the contracting firms to dissipate their skills on the job so as to have road projects that would stand the last of time.
Kannike promised that the government is ready to honour the contractual term to standardize the mutual relationship between it and the contracting firms.
