Date: 2015-06-03

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Kwara State has urged the state police command to bring to justice, a policeman who allegedly shot their member in Ajase-Ipo at the weekend.

Akeem Laduba, the chairman of the union in Kabba/Omu Aran/Igbaja, was allegedly shot by a policeman attached to a patrol team along Ajase-Ipo highway over an argument and died while being taken to hospital. He had intervened when policemen stopped an Okada rider.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, chairman of the state council of the union, Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore, said the killer must be identified and brought to justice.
