Kwara 2015: GRA women, others drum supports for Ajibola /Aluko guber ticket

Date: 2015-01-31

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections, a group under the aegis of GRA Reality Forum and the Epitome People in Politics have drummed support for the Sen S.S. Ajibola/Mallam Ahmed Yinka Aluko governorship ticket on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

?This, the groups said became necessary due to their yearnings for peaceful and prosperous Kwara stressing that the current APC led government has failed the people of the state.

The women group stated this while playing host to the Wife of the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Hajia Zainab Aluko at an interactive session organized recently. Led by its Chairperson, Mrs Tayo Ariye Okunlola, the group lamented over neglect by the current government.

It however assured Sen S.S Ajibola and Mallam Yinka Aluko of their unflinching support towards the victory of the party at all levels even as they appealed for recognition in the execution ?projects in future time.

Similarly, the Epitome People in Politics, also expressed joy over the combination and Sen S.S. Ajibola and Mallam Yinka Aluko as the Kwara PDP governorship and deputy governorship candidates respectively in the forthcoming polls .

The group stated this during its courtesy visit to Hajia Zainab Aluko at her residence as parts of readiness towards ensuring the victory of PDP in Kwara State.

According to the Chairperson of the group, Alhaja Yinka Lawal, "Our ultimate concern is about the victory of the party at all levels. We are tired slavery, joblessness, and lack of focus towards and developed Kwara State. It is therefore our responsibility to channel our strength and doggedness to vote the fraudulent APC government and retrieve our stolen mandates for the sake of our future and that of the generations yet unborn."

Other Speakers also described Kwara PDP as the only party that can better protect the interest of masses even as they urged Kwarans to support the party to emerge victorious at the polls.

In her response, Hajia Aluko thanked the groups for the commitment, dedication and resilient towards the success of the party stressing that there is always victory in unity.

She however maintained that the Ajiboka/Aluko guber ticket will not disappoint the people of Kwara adding that the duo are both men of God and have names and integrity to protect.

Speaking on joblessness and underdevelopment among the women folk, Hajia Aluko described Sen S.S. Ajibola as a complete gentleman and grassroot politician who knows where shoes pinches the masses.

She therefore solicits sincere supports from the people and assured them of maximum involvement in governance under the PDP led government in Kwara.
