Kwara PDP apologises for primary fracas
The State Executives of the Party said this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Chief Rex Olawoye.
According to the statement, it was pertinent for members of the Party to know that what happened was expected in a party where people of intellect and competence competes for a single position.
The statement added that what happened in the state also cut across other states, assuring that the Party would come out stronger and better.
It appealed to the National body of the Party to give the State Executives a fresh date when the primary would be held in the state and called on all gubernatorial aspirants to maintain calm as the state executive members are elected to serve the Party without fear or favour.
The Party assured the aspirants that the next primary exercise would guarantee a level playing ground for all the aspirants.
The statement added despite what transpired on the day, "there is no division in the Party as the party remains strong, united and viable".
