Constituents drum support for Kwara Speaker's NASS ambition
People of Owode/ Onire Constituency in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State have pledged their unflinching support to the candidature of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barrister Razak Atunwa as the APC's Candidate for the House of Representatives for Ilorin/Asa Constituency in the 2015 general elections.
The group stated this during their solidarity visit to the Speaker in his office. Nigerian Pilot gathered that the people, who stormed the Kwara State House of Assembly in their hundreds explained that the need became imperative in view of his performance, benevolence and leadership qualities.
An APC Chieftain in the Constituency who led the team, Alhaji Idris Awe, disclosed that the Speaker had impacted positively on the People of the Constituency and urged him to sustain it.
Also, another chieftain of the Party Alhaji Memudu Turawa, noted with delight that the Speaker had made significant improvement in the lives of the people of the area and assured that they would reciprocate by working for his success in the forthcoming Poll.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Party in Asa Local Government Area, Alhaji Folorunsho Busari explained that the ruling party in the State had touched the lives of the people and urged the people of Asa Local Government to reciprocate by ensuring the success of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
In his remark, the State House of Assembly hopeful for Owode/Onire constituency, Alhaji Taiye Abdullahi Orimaro praised Senator Bukola Saraki and the Speaker for their support and promised to work for the success of the Speaker and other candidates of the party in the coming poll.
Responding, the Speaker, Barr. Razak Atunwa praised the People of Owode/Onire Constituency for the display of love and solidarity and promised to continue to be committed towards their well-being in whatever capacity he finds himself.
Atunwa enjoined the people of the State to vote massively for the APC in all categories of the general elections, pointing out that the party would ensure the desired change in the country to further improve the standard of living of Nigerians.
