Maigidasanma, Samson Unuanel and some players of the club were on Sunday in Ilorin rewarded for their contributions to the club so far this season.

The Kwara United manager while speaking on the award said it is another challenge for him to do more, adding that when one is rewarded or recognised it means more is demanded of such person.

He said: "I want to thank the supporter done me, we are going to ensure we make them happy at the end of the season by picking one of the promotion tickets in our group."

"I want to say thank you to them and I want to assure them of my management support at times"

The Technical Adviser of the team, Samson Unuanel gets the supporters award of the best coach in the Nigeria National League for this season.

Unuanel who could not hide his joy at the award said the supporters support has been tremendous and described their conduct since joining as fantastic.

While speaking at the ceremony, the chairman of Kwara United supporters club, Alhaji Idowu Suleiman, vowed that his crew would do everything possible to make sure that United return to the Premier League.

"Unuanel is a good coach, and that's the reason we organised this occasion to honour his contribution since he became our coach.

"The coach (Unuanel) was not the reason we were relegated last season, and that was why we all clamoured that he should lead us back to the top flight," Suleiman said

Players who received the supporters club award include, Adeshina Gata won the Supporters Club best Young Player of the team while Samuel Adegbenro was voted the Most Valuable Player of the team for the current season and Lateef Adigun as the highest goal scorer.

The all expressed their happiness at the award and they all promised to fire the team to the Premier League come next season.

The colourful award ceremony was held at the indoor sports hall of the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin in which the club's supporters used the medium to launch their almanac for this season.
