2015: Kwara PDP Members Will Embrace Peace - Minister

The minister of National Planning,Dr Abubakar Suleiman on Sunday assured the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari that members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state will conduct themselves peacefully during the next year's general elections.

He assured the monarch that PDP members will not play politics of bitterness and rancour.

Suleiman spoke in Ilorin when he paid homage to the Emir in his palace. The minister opined that the best option for Kwarans "is to remain in main stream politics"of the ruling PDP come 2015.

He noted that the state in the last 20 years had not been in opposition and that going with the opposition this time would be a departure from its political tradition.

Suleiman was accompanied to the palace by a business mogul and chieftain of the PDP,Hajia Muinat Bola Sagaya,Mohammed Dele Belgore (SAN), former Minister for Sports, Alhaji Bio Ibrahim among others.

In his remarks,the emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari who expressed delight with the minister's appointment.

He sought God's protection and guidancce for the minister, saying that the more the merrier."
