Kwara Poly Rector Affirms Commitment to Quality Education
The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu, said the institution has not deviated from its mandate of producing technical manpower for the development of the country.
Elelu, who disclosed this in Ilorin, explained that the institution would continue give priority to the production of science and technology students and 30 percent for humanities students.
The Rector noted that the polytechnic has moved beyond the benchmark set for it by the National Board for Technical Education by developing its curriculum to produce quality products.
Elelu added that 54 programmes offered by the institution have received accreditation, while its students have also been exposed to entrepreneurial schemes for them to become self reliant after graduation.
He lamented the disparity existing between the holders of Higher National Diploma and Degree, stressing the need for parity, both in private and public sectors.
