Following the team's 0-5 loss to Kwara United last Saturday in the week-12 of the on-going Pro-league match, players and the technical crew of Spotlights Football Club of Katsina have been placed on half salary.

The club's coordinator, Alhaji Ayub Umar dropped this hint shortly after the match played at Ilorin Township Stadium.

According to him, all the players have been placed on half salary while the head coach Abdullahi Heyman has been served with a warning letter in addition to half salary.

Alhaji Ayuba Umar explained that the club's management was not happy with the performance of the players especially against Kwara United, which was described as "scandalous."

He said that despite the fact no player or coach was being owed salariies arreas by the team, adding that even their salary of this month of April has been paid before they left Katsina, just as motivation to the team.

The coordinator, however, urged the players and the technical crew to do everything possible to cancel the goals deficit against Kogi United tomorrow in Katsina or face more punishment, adding that the club management will not tolerate unproductivity in the team.

He then called on their supporters to be patient and continue praying for the team with a view to actualizing the team's dream of excelling at the end of  the season.
