The police in Kwara on Monday  decorated 38 officers of the command who were promoted to different ranks.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Ambrose Aisabor, who  decorated the officers in Ilorin,  urged them to rededicate themselves to service by discharging their duties as expected.

The police boss advised the officers to see their promotion as additional responsibilities toward securing lives and property.

Aisabor congratulated the promoted officers  and urged them not to relent in their efforts at protecting lives and property.

He appealed to Kwarans to always cooperate with men and officers of the command, saying  the police would continue to ensure adequate security.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 19 officers were promoted from Inspector  to Assistant Superintendent of Police, eight  to Deputy Superintendent of Police, six  to Superintendent  of  Police  and five  to Chief  Superintendent  of Police. (NAN)
