Date: 2013-11-11

Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed says his administration will continue to accord utmost respect and reverence to the traditional institution in the State as a veritable partner in the task of developing the State.

Governor Ahmed gave this indication in a congratulatory  message to the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of his installation as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.

The Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba noted that it was heart warming that the traditional institution in the State, under the dynamic and purposeful leadership of the Emir of Ilorin, has played credible role in fostering harmony, ensuring peace and stability and encouraging and attracting development to the nooks and crannies of the State.

Dr Ahmed asserted that it was heart warming that Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State in general has been able to tap from the rich experience of the Emir of Ilorin as a jurist per excellence and seasoned administrator whose unquantifiable and unquestionable love for his people and humanity at large remain in no doubt".

According to the Governor, "there is no doubt that our Royal father, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Zulu Gambari has been a bridge builder of note, advocate of peace and development whose contributions are unquantifiable".

Governor Ahmed prayed Allah to grant the Emir sound health, long life and profound wisdom to continue to preside over Ilorin Emirate and the State traditional council.
