I want to help Kwara United regain its lost glory - Aiyenugba

Date: 2020-10-04

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba has explained the reason behind his decision to return to join Kwara United ahead of the coming season.

Aiyenugba signed for the Harmony Boys last months, After 13 seasons in the Israel League, where he played four different teams.

While speaking on his decision to return to where he started his career, Aiyenugba said he wanted to be closer to his family and also to help Kwara United reclaim their lost glory in the Nigeria Professional Football league.

“Another reason was to help Kwara United FC bring back its lost glory. I am sure, with the support of the other players, the coaches, and management, we will achieve success. I want to contribute my quota to the revival of the team. This is where I started.

Before leaving for Israel in 2007, Aiyenugba has four Nigerian professional football league titles, one CAF Champions League, one CAF Super Cup, and one Nigerian FA Cup with Enyimba of Aba.
