Kwara APC to elect 5,447 officials in April - Interim Secretary
The All Progressives Congress, APC, will elect 5,447 officials to direct its affairs in Kwara at ward, local government and state levels in April.
The interim Secretary of the party in the state, Yemi Afolayan, made the disclosure in llorin on Tuesday in an interview.
He said that 26 officials would be elected from each of 193 wards of the state, 25 officials from each of the 16 local government areas, while 29 would be elected in the state.
He said that the interim leadership of the party in the state has concluded arrangements to conduct its congress at ward, local government and state levels.
Mr. Afolayan said a timetable for the conduct of the congresses has been released for members to be aware of the dates.
According to the interim Secretary, ward congress will be held on April 5, local government congress will be held on April 12, while state congress was fixed for April 23.
He said that 26 officials would be elected from each of 193 wards of the state, 25 officials from each of the 16 local government areas while 29 would be elected in the state.
Mr. Afolayan said that the interim leadership of the party in the state is working round the clock to ensure the conduct of hitch free congresses.
