Sport Minister urges Kwara youths to embrace sport

The Minister of Sports and Chairman National Sports Commission, Bolaji Abdullahi has urged youths in Kwara State to embrace sports and as well be serious with their academic pursuit.

Abdullahi, who disclosed this at the Ilorin Stadium Complex during the flag-off of the Supersports/Omoluabi Foundation Let's Play Activation, commended the state government for its sports friendly posture.

Speaking at the event, the state governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, pledged to build more football pitches and other sporting facilities across the state as parts of his administration's efforts to boost sports development.

While commending the organizers of the football talent hunt programme for bringing it to Kwara State, the governor assured participants that the outstanding ones would be encouraged to realize their dreams of becoming football superstars in the future.

He added that the Kwara Football Academy would be upgraded in order to bring out the best in children who embrace football.
