Resuscitate railways - Abdulkareem
A lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, University of ILORIN and a former Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Dr. Yahaya AbdulKareem, made the call while featuring on a Radio Kwara Interactive Programme "The Platform".
According to Dr. Y.A. Abdulkareem, students at the secondary school level dreaded science courses at the University level due to improper orientation. He also urged the Federal government to check the trend of corruption in the country.
Commenting on the rail transportation project, the University Don appealed to the government to intensify efforts to ensure that rail transportation system thrive in the country. Callers on the programme called on the government to equip the nation’s primary schools to ensure a good foundation for the pupils.
