Shooting Stars Eye Trimmed Lead as They Face Kwara United in NPFL Clash
In-form Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan will look to reduce Remo Stars' lead at the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table to five points when they face Kwara United tomorrow in a rescheduled Matchday 20 fixture.
The Ibadan side will aim to secure all three points in the encounter at the main bowl of the Rashid Yekini Stadium in Ilorin. 3SC previously defeated Kwara United 1-0 in the reverse fixture last December. However, they will face a determined Harmony Boys team eager to climb into the top half of the table after suffering a 2-1 loss to Ikorodu City in Lagos last weekend.
The Oluyole Warriors are second in the league with 40 points, eight points behind log leaders Remo Stars but have played a game less than the Sky Blue Stars.
3SC goes into tomorrow's tie having ended the seven game unbeaten streak of Bendel Insurance on Sunday with a 1-0 victory courtesy of Godwin Odibo's strike to make it seven wins and a draw in their last eight games.
Shooting Stars have recorded two wins and a draw in their last three away games conceding just one goal in the process and will be looking to take the form to Ilorin to face Kwara United.
