ABS FC to Battle Tornadoes in Ilorin

Date: 2012-12-11

ABS FC will intensify their build-up to the upcoming Nigeria Premier League season with a friendly match with Niger Tornadoes on Sunday at the Ilorin Township stadium.

ABS edged third-tier club 1-0 last Sunday in another warm-up game and club spokesman Jimoh Bashir told futaa.com that they expect a tough game from their guests who were demoted from the elite division last season.

Benefit

- We are not taking any chances ahead of next season and this is why we need to put our players in shape despite the fact that the kickoff date is not yet known.

- Our last match like all our previous matches has been very helpful and the clash with Tornadoes is also expected to benefit to both clubs as Tornadoes are also using it to prepare for their campaign with the hope of gaining promotion at the end of the season.

ABS would be counting on the scoring proficiency of striker Abdulrahman Bashir whose goal proved the difference in the tie with Crown.
