Kwara police ban night-time Okada operation
The Kwara State Police Command has banned night-time operations of commercial motorcycle operators popularly called Okada.
Addressing newsmen yesterday in Ilorin, Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Dabo Ezekiel said the ban was with immediate effect and that policemen have been ordered to enforce the ban.
"To ride after 7pm in the metropolis is prohibited and is a violation of the ban. Henceforth, anybody arrested by the law enforcement agency will be prosecuted and the motorcycles will be impounded," Ezekiel said.
