Date: 2021-01-05

The Director-General of the Bureau of Lands, in Kwara State, Mr Bolaji Edun, has been removed.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq removed the former DG on Monday and replaced him with Mr Abdullahi Bolakale Yusuf.

Responding to enquiries by DAILY POST, the spokesman of the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye said, "There is a cessation of the office of the DG Bureau of Lands in the state."

He explained that "Lands' is now a department under the recently signed Geographic Information Service, GIS, law.

"The GIS, now overseas land and related issues in the state," Ajakaye added.

Edun was appointed barely a year ago by the governor.

His removal is coming some hours after the governor dissolved his executive council.
