ABS coach Henry Makinwa declares war against former NPFL champions Kano Pillars

Date: 2017-06-26

Head coach of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS FC) Henry Makinwa has confirmed his wards' readiness for their next anticipated clash against former NPFL champions Kano Pillars.

The Saraki Boys will face the Sai Masugida in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 26 duel on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Kwara state Stadium, Ilorin.

Makinwa who has represented 17 clubs in 11 countries during his professional career told NAIJ.com that Kano Pillars will face the consequence of his boys' defeat at Shooting Stars of Ibadan in their last game.

''Yes, we are ready for Kano Pillars even though I know the match will be tough for my players considering the pedigree of our opponents who are former champions. ''But I have a young squad that can deliver the work for me on Wednesday, and I want all Kwara people to come out and support us to victory against Kano Pillars,'' Makinwa explained.

ABS FC of Ilorin currently occupy 12th position on the Nigeria Professional Football League standings with 34 points, and Makinwa who is of Spanish descent believes that the Saraki Boys can still finish among the top four teams.

''My target this season is to pick a continental ticket with my young squad, and when you look at the table, you will want to agree with me that it is possible for us to achieve our aim at the end of the season,'' he stated.
