KWSG pledges continuous support to Kwara Utd FC
The Kwara State Government has restated its determination to provide the necessary support and incentive to ensure that Kwara United Football Club excel in the Nigeria National League.
The State Commissioner Sports and Youth Development, Pharmacist Kale Ayo stated this on Saturday in Ilorin at a pre-season seminar organized by the State Football Association. Pharmacist Kale Ayo noted that the government would not relent nor neglect its responsibility to ensure that the state teams participating in the League are promoted that the apex League.
The Commissioner explained that the salary and welfare of the players would be given priority and will be paid as at when due. He called on the people to support the government and the team in its effort at achieving the desire results.
The Chairman of the State Football Association, Mallam Busari Ishola noted that the seminar was organised to keep the players, officials, fans and supporters abreast of development in the round leather game, especially ahead of the league season.
Mallam Busari Ishola charged the players to use their income wisely while the technical crew should be role model and leave by examples by not instigating or inciting the players.
The Chairman noted that the association would put machinery in motion to check the unnecessary influx of people into the State Box section of the stadium. In his lecture at the gathering, the Kwara State Business Manager for Premium Pension, Yinka Abolarin called on the players to save for the raining day by embracing the pension scheme to ensure and guarantee a better future.
Also in his lecture, a retired referee and Vice Chairman of the State Football Association, Alhaji Salman Fowomola called on the players to be orderly and obey the rules and regulations of the game.
He drew his lectures from the Laws of the Game, especially Law 4, 11 and 12.
