Kano Pillars attacking midfielder, Azeez Shobowale, has described as redemption today's Glo Premier League Match Day 27 midweek clash against Kwara United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. Shobowale said the side must fashion out a convincing victory against Kwara United after humiliating three straight defeats in the ongoing league season.

"The clash against Kwara United is simply put a game of redemption for us to regain our respect in the eyes of our teeming supporters. "Our pedigree has been called to question after three straight defeats to Enyimba, Nasarawa United and FC Taraba.

"We must beat Kwara United in our backyard at least to prove to doubters that we are the Nigerian champions and a strong force in the domestic scene. "Of course, we understand that Kwara United want to stay in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) next term, they will come with great energies to redeem themselves, too after some poor performances.

"We won't relax or feel complacence as we already know the encounter will not be a walk-over. "We have worked very hard for the clash and hope things will turn out well so that at the end of the day the whole three points will be in our kitty.

"I know there are serious doubts on our chances to retain the title but nobody can be a write off with 12 matches to end the season.
