The Kwara State Government has debunked an allegation by the Kwara State chapter of Action Congress of Nigeria and the Kwara Freedom Network that the government abandoned its business of governance to give solidarity to Senator Bukola Saraki who was billed to appear before the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Lagos over a N9.7 billion loan waiver.

The government who described the allegation as "a potupori of falsehood" said it was a delibrate attempt by the duo to gain what it described as "undeserved relevance".

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, AbdulWahab Oba said the presence of the state's top government functionaries in Lagos as at the time Senator Bukola Saraki was keeping appointment with the Special Fraud Unit was coincidental, saying that the governor with some top government functionaries were in Lagos on Sunday, April 29, 2012 to iteract with kwara professionals resident in Lagos on his government's Shared Prosperity Agenda.

It further added that the governor's presence in I ngos over the weekend wais to update the professionals about the new drive of his administration to enhance industrial development in the state and urged to 9rge them to cue into the investment opportunities.

The statement emphasized of Governor Ahmed is committed to good governance and actualization of its holistic programme of shared prosperity with particular emphasis on the provision of qualitative health service and sound education among others.

The government further advised the opposition not to create issues where there was not, wondering why they were confusing the public on the presence of top politicians, lovers, admirers and supporters of Senator Bukola Saraki from the state.

The government in the statement identified with the party leadership and equally assured Kwarans that the Peoples Democratic Party government in the state is committed to the implementation of its policies and programmes to the letter, stressing that government's business never ceased.

The statement, therefore, enjoined the oppositions to always clarify their facts before showing their ignorance publicly.
