The Rector of the polytechnic,  Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu during the 2013/2014 end of the year award ceremony organised by the institution at the school academic conference center yesterday said the motive behind the ceremony was to appreciate some of the staff and departments 

The Deputy Rector ,Administration, Mr James Ajiboye who represented the rector at the ceremony while commending some of the staff selected for the award, said that the programme was initiated two years ago during the period of late Professor Shehu Jimoh, the former chairman board of the school

The rector said that punctuality, selflessness, hardwork, honesty, dedication were among other relevant attitudes capable of bringing about quality service and development to the institution

In his opening remark, the school registrar, Pastor Moses Olanrewaju Salami explained that all the awardees were selected based on merit and the beneficiaries cut across all the departments and institutes in the polytechnics

‘Today we are recognising, appreciating and honouring them for job well done and for being committed to duty and also encourage others to be up and doing’ he explained

At the event, awards and certificates were presented to the 16 awardees by the principal officers and management of the polytechnic

The programme was well attended by the management, staff and students of the polytechnic communities
