The Chairman, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Shuaib Baba Jimoh, has made passionate appeal to the Federal Government to intervene on the deplorable Ilorin/Jebba road, saying that it has become a death trap for motorists and travelers.

Jimoh, who made the call in a chat with City Rove weekend, explained that the road is very strategic, especially for travelers to the northern part.

He said the disrepair state of the 100 kilo metre road has turned to blessings to the men of the underworld where they dispossess unsuspecting travelers of their valuables.

He also recalled the several mishaps on the road, appealing to the Federal Government to quickly intervene.

The council chair advised the youth to eschew all acts that are inimical to the progress of the nation.

Jimoh applauded the state Governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed for embarking on people oriented policies, which according to him, have direct impact on the lives of the masses.

Speaking on the security in the state, the council boss thanked the governor for donating Hilux Van to the security operatives in the area, pointing out that the gesture was enhancing their operations in the local government.

He promised that his administration would not disappoint the people of Moro and sought their maximum support in making the council the most viable among its counterparts in the state.
