The Imam IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation, in collaboration with Winnipeg Ta’alim Community, Canada, has distributed foodstuffs to over 200 fasting families in Ilorin and Ibadan, Kwara and Oyo states, respectively.
The Ramadan welfare package given to each family contained rice, beans, semolina, vegetable oil and tomato paste.
In Ibadan, 22 bags of rice, three bags of beans, 25 bags of semolina, 10 cartons of vegetable oil and 12 cartons of tomato paste were distributed at the Muflihun Schools on Muslim-Mosfala Road.
In Ilorin, eight bags of rice, two bags of beans, eight bags of semolina, eight packs of spaghetti, seven cartons of groundnut oil and four cartons of tin tomato were distributed on Adeta Road.
The foundation’s Director, Ustādh Rasheed Haashim, explained that it was the third phase of the Ramadan welfare package for the ongoing 1445 Ramadan.
He attributed the success of the Ramadan welfare package to the generous donations received from members of the Winnipeg Ta’alim Community in Canada, expressing gratitude and praying for their continued blessings.
Ustādh Haashim extended his appreciation to the donors and emphasised the importance of support from wealthy individuals in sustaining the foundation’s charitable activities.
He assured donors and zakat payers of the responsible and effective utilisation of their contributions towards helping those in need.
