The State NUT Chairman Comrade Musa Abubakar gave this indication during a courtesy call on the Speaker Dr Ali Ahmad in his office.

He said that with these, the hierarchy of the House had demonstrated that the wellbeing of teachers, who according to him, were moulders of future leaders, was paramount to the parliament in the state.

The State NUT boss who disclosed that the national leadership of the NUT, was fully aware of the pivotal role of the legislature and had resolved to visit the Speaker and reinforce its belief in the lawmakers  as a rally point for teachers in the country.

The Speaker assured that the House will not relent in ensuring that the state recorded similar success in the educational sector, pointing out that the the 8th legislature under him would not hesitate to consult with the NUT, when it is the turn of the state Houses of Assembly to play their part in the constitutional amendment, so as to proffer enduring solution to funding of basic education in the country.
