Makinwa warns ABS' NPFL rivals

ABS' head coach, Henry Makinwa has asserted that the Ilorin side can be dangerous than they have shown in their last two friendly matches.

He stated that what they have done with the two friendly matches and others they will play before going back to Ilorin to prepare for Akwa United in their first match of the NPFL season is to send warning signals to their would-be foes in the premier league that they can only ignore them at their own peril.

"We have shown through the friendly matches that we have played that we meant business and that we won't give in to any club in the topflight when the season begins," Makinwa told Goal.

"ABS have done their best to prepare for the season and this closed camping has been a blessing in disguise for us because it afforded us the chance to train without distractions."

"We still hope to play friendly matches against Kogi United and Nasarawa United before the season starts and we are hoping to give a very good account of ourselves with the certainty that we will go back home to face Akwa United with high expectations."
