Kwara Utd strategizing to consolidate on second spot
Kwara United FC of Ilorin is strongly strategizing for away point in their next game against Adamawa FC to consolidate on their second spot on the National League Group B table.
General Manager of Kwara United, Alhaji Mohammed Haruna Maigidansanma who spoke with The Herald on Sunday League Update yesterday said the club is leaving no stone unturned to make sure promotion to the Premier League do no elude them.
He explained that with the current standing on the log, if there are no board room points award by the O and D, the stand to beat Plateau United to the second promotion ticket with superior goal difference.
In the case of Ranchers Bees, if the O and D overrule the three points award to Ranchers Bees in the week 28 game against TEAP and ordered a replay which very likely TEAP will win at home, then Ranchers will be behind them with three point he further explained.
Apart from these two teams, Maigidansanma said they are also mindful of Kogi United but all things semi equal they hope to come out tops as they did not loose focus on their promotion challenge.
If there are no board room points with the way we are going, things will work out in our favour by the grace of God.
All we want is for Kwarans to keep supporting and have faith in us, with their support, we shall triumph at and of the day, Maigidansanma added.
With three games to go, Kwara United is on 46 points from 27 games in the second spot.
The Ilorin side have two away games and one home with their next game week 26 away against Adamawa United, week 29 at home against TEAP FC.
Week 30 which is the last game will be a tough one away in Kaduna against Ranchers Bees who also have one home game in the remaining three.
