An open letter to Sen Bukola Saraki from Kwara Grassroots Youth Volunteers Corp.

The political reality in Kwara State just like across the nation is shifting towards an inclusive engagement that seemed to be powered by the youths. As the figures of our population shows, youths form about 53 percent of the population and they equally champion more than a half active politically active demographic. This invariably places youths at the forefront of political change in our state, Kwara.

However, as much as youths have been a tangible part of government since 2003, it is unfortunate that majority of political actors that are youths are not a true representation of our agitation for inclusive political engagement that could lift our collective aspiration, individually and collectively. The youths in government are most concerned about their personal aspirations with meaningfully carrying along the our collective interests as a demography. This has led to disconnect between your well intentioned program for the state to impact and engage the political interests of the youth. We need more committed youths that could naturally add momentum to political direction of your leadership sir,Thus, the voice of our agitation is louder now that there is another opportunity to select and voting youths that are clearly reflective of our agitation of inclusive political engagement. We have decided to demand for representatives that understand us; that feel our pains and aspirations; and that are closer to us emotionally and politically. And we want a representatives that are intelligent and technocratic, and indeed that could win more votes and that could bring meaningful development.

In our search that was wide and deep, we are pleased to present before Your Excellency, MR. Nasir Abdulquadri. He is a renowned public and motivational speaker with a passion for grassroots development and he equally understands the nitty gritty of grassroots development. He was a banker that had criss-crossed the nation through his career before voluntarily disengagement to concentrate on his passion for grassroots development and motivational speaking as a means of to uplift the human consciousness and mental readiness to become the best of their individual version. Before he resigned, he was a Regional Retail Team Leader with First Inland Bank. He has traverse the whole Kwara state speaking to the youth and advocating government entrepreneurial policies and motivating the youths to explore the opportunities inherent in the youth-inclusive policies. Because of his relationship with the youths, in 2011, he worked among the students and mobilized them to believe in legacy of Senator Bukola Saraki. He even met with your excellency one one shortly before d 2011 election. His performance was recorded with outstanding success both during the senatorial and governorship election. He never stopped interacting with the youths and has won their admiration and respect, which is also noted in the responses to his radio phone-in programs.

He started a Non-Government Organization on drug abuse(Youth Focus Initiative) which he has used and still using to the rescue of our youths from their path of self destruction. He has done so much on his own and he keeps doing them for his belief in Kwara state and especially, your leadership. He is 39 years old and married with two children. He is very popular across the Kwara Central and also across the state.

Therefore, we believe that fielding Nasir Abdulquadri for an elective position would complement your popularity and leadership as a friend of youths and will gladden the hearts of majority of our youths across our party, APC.

Sir, we the youths ask Your Excellence to do us the favor to field this value-adding personality to represent us. He is an intellectual with large doses of emotional intelligence to balance the political agitation. He is not only a committed party man but he is equally a loyal friend to you from the time immemorial sir.

We promise our continuous loyalty and we promise Nasir Abdulquadri would make the party proud and endear your leadership to more youths.
